Intro to Dance
Introduces students to the dynamic capabilities of the body as an articulate means of expression, ballet and tap.

Basic ballet skills, terminology, rhythm, and coordination are taught, practiced, and developed through basic ballet technique and music, in a supportive and supervised environment.
Dancers at this level will start class at the ballet barre to work on classical technique, executing combinations at different
musical tempos and on different musical counts.
Dancers at this level will work to build strength and learn how to put several steps together while smoothly transferring their weight
and holding correct posture and body placement.
This class will pay attention to fine details, use of the upper body, breath of movement and expression as well as an increasingly
advanced repertory of steps.
This technique class is designed to prepare dancers to go on pointe. Dancers will work on strengthening the entire foot and ankle
as well perfecting the proper body placement that is essential for going on pointe. Dancers around the age of 10+ will be invited when ready to take pre-pointe to help prepare for pointe work.
ContemMo dance can be danced to any style of music and united with other dance forms to create a new style of movement. This dance class emphasizes strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality combining modern and contemporary dance styles.
Tap Classes include basic footwork, musicality and rhythm. Tap classes will encourage a full body approach which will incorporate all forms of dance.
Jazz dance is fun and expressive while utilizing technique learned in ballet. Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality.
Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking.
Zumba is a fun way to get fit. A fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance. The cost is $4 per class, no need to register with FSDA.
